I am sitting in my room
with Bridget Jones's Dairy and a hot cup of tea. A perfect day to cuddle
up with a book and sip tea... and meanwhile it starts raining...
What a perfect
combination Book + Tea + Rain. What better way to relax.
I leap from my chair to
feel the rain in my face, wind in the hair and enjoy that fresh, earthy
smell...
Ahhh!
I inhaled it so deeply
that it inspired me to write. Those who love the sweet smell of rain
(petrichor) will understand what its like... It has the power to hypnotise your
mind, body and soul to an extent where no barriers exist, a place that's indeed
more spiritual.
So here I am with my new
blog post....
Last week was moderately
hot. No sign of rain. Busy week mostly because my son was enjoying big break
from school due to water logging after witnessing heavy rain and also Ram
Rahim's arrest after 15 long yrs (a big scandal). Schools were off due to
security reasons.
When my son is at home
he is too demanding... He wants time and variety of dishes most of which he
rejects... Well that's another issue... Back to the topic... In whole, past
week was hectic and stressful..
I took a little break
and spent some time gazing up into the sky and was lucky to witness this
enchanting view. The cloud mass forming made the site beautiful and a perfect
view to click.
Ever since I was little,
clouds have fascinated me. I remember spending time on terrace lying on floor
with my brother and sister watching clouds drift by.
We laid there for hours
and looked at what seemed like balls of cotton at first gaze and later
interpreted them as per our imagination... Ice cream, car, teddy, dragon,
horse, witch... Our imagination had no boundaries.
We even had those
innocent fights about the shape of the cloud, backing once own
imagination.
Clouds are something we all are so familiar with, that we hardly pay attention
to them. Its human nature, the more often we see the things the more they
become invisible to us.
But I am among those who
can spend hours watching them change their shape and colour. I think they
are truly enchanting thing to gaze upon.
Why do I love
clouds???
Clouds are one natural
beauty. As a kid I always wondered what's above the clouds.
For an innocent brain
things were simple and I believed what All those Indian mythological serials
showed - Gods living in the sky. It was said to be a place where God's
lived, heaven and the wonder where soul goes after death. But in later years
science made things crystal clear.
Believing in the fantasy
world was more fun than reality. A world supported by cartoons where clouds are
padded cushions that one can bounce upon or a soft comfy hammock gave wings to
my imagination. The more I saw more likely I felt being teleport to the
mysterious world.
They are the wonders of nature that cannot be touched like grass, flowers
or felt like wind and rain. But there's definitely something that feels like
Magic. A spell of God that has a magical touch on soul.
Don't you think?? Sky would be a dull empty canvas without wondrous
clouds.
Sometimes I wonder why they are so special.. I guess because i can relate to
them more than anything that nature offers.
Clouds reflect their mood transparently just like me. Be it anger, love,
sorrow, happiness.. What i feel is visible on my face and clouds portray theirs
through colours.
Sometimes when I see them I see myself. They are the mirror of my
emotions. They resemble the thoughts in my mind. I see whatever my
heart yearns for. The time I feel depressed I see God coming for me on a
horse or majestic light coming from a big cloud and When I am happy I things
that brings smile on my face and when i am sad I see rough patches or scattered
clouds...
They are different at different times, places and for people. Everyone
perceives them differently according to their mood.
Clouds enhance the
beauty of the sky. The best part is, spend an hour watching them and no
two of them will be the same because they keep moving, keep changing shape and
hues. Every time its a new wonder, new masterpiece and new memory...
Childhood is long gone, gone are those wonderful years of innocent thoughts,
but the best part is to relive childhood with your kid. Motherhood is a big
blessing.
Now I may not get enough time to enjoy nature but I make sure whenever I travel
with my family, we never forget to enjoy the changing hues and now even my
5yrs son plays imaginary cloud game.
Clouds, sunsets, sunrises and our no-subject-restriction talks, all
together makes journey memorable.
All thanks to Nature, who has so much to offer. But it's on us to acknowledge and appreciate...
So Take a break and ENJOY!
